Dynamics and the highest standards of professionalism are the phrases that appear the most often to describe this formation. The unique, deep, Hooker-like voice of the leader, Adam Kulisz (four times the winner of the magazine “Twój Blues” plebiscite in the category “the vocalist of the year” is combined with the energetic lead guitar. The original program is sung in Polish and Silesian. The rhythm section represent a high standard. All those combined provide an unforgettable musical feast.

AWARD WINNING BLUES with a difference…

BABAJACK is fast becoming one of the most sought after bands on the Blues/Roots/ Acoustic circuits in the UK and Europe. Their brand of blues is contemporary, powerful and acoustic. They combine great musicianship, passion, energy and charismatic performance to create a different kind of blues and a great show.

Becky Tate and Trevor Steger are the song writing core of BabaJack. They have already released 3 albums since 2009, each one getting greater attention from the media and the music loving public. Rooster (released in March 2012) placed 2nd as Best Album in the British Blues Awards 2013.

What sets BABAJACK apart is their approach to blues: their music is recognisably infused by early blues, but by no means bound by it. Becky brings roots/ funk/African rhythms and her beautiful lyrical voice, and Trevor brings his own flavour of punk meets Ry Cooder! to his slide style and harmonica. In the tradition of the early blues, they make their own instruments: Trevor’s homemade growling ‘WineBox’ guitars and Becky’s cajon (box drum) and stomp. For the Running Man album they have been joined by Tosh Murase on drums, Adam Bertenshaw on bass and Julia Palmer Price (cellist for Nigel Kennedy) on cello.

Award winners! BABAJACK are British Blues Awards Winners (2012/2013) This year they were nominated 5 times and were runners up in 3 categories including Best Acoustic Act, Best Harmonica Player, Best Album (Rooster), and Becky has won Instrumentalist of the Year for two years running!

They represented the UK at the European Blues Challenge, placed 5th. They were Bluesmatters! Magazine Band of the Year 2012, and Becky was one of 3 nominated Instrumentalist of the Year for the FATEA Folk Roots Awards.

EARL THOMAS & His Band (USA/UK)

Jego utwory były wykorzystywane w wielu filmach i serialach telewizyjnych (m.in. „Ostry dyżur”). Nic dziwnego, że nazywają go „the Blues Ambassador”.

Earl1

Urodził się w muzycznej rodzinie w Tennessee. Każdy z jej członków na czymś grał lub śpiewał: mama gospel, tata – bluesa. W ten sposób poznał klasykę tych dwóch gatunków: artystów takich, jak Muddy Waters, Otis Redding, Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, i wszyscy wykonawcy wiązani z wytwórnią Stax.

Eddie Angel – gitara
Kevin Allwhite – gitara basowa
Joseph Glossop – instrumenty klawiszowe
Bob Dowell – puzon
Joe Aukland – trąbka
