GRUFF! – JOHNSON’S BUSINESS (2015)
GRUFF, the eclectic blues trio evolved from the duo Przytuła & Kruk, has been playing on stages in Poland and abroad since May 2013, knocking over the traditional view of “Blues-Rock” playing. They played at major blues festivals in Poland, as well as on major international events. Blues from the Mississippi Delta is the foundation of their style, which swings from soft ballads to heavy-metal banging in dynamic and unpredictable ways. The mighty voice and unique skills of Bartek Przytula, powerful sound of Tomek Kruk’s electric Dobro, and locomotive rhythm from Maciej Kudłą make GRUFF! an unstoppable machine.
ROBERT JOHNSON turning in his grave!
The debut album “Johnson’s Business” is a summary of two years of the musicians’ work, and at the same time an explosive effect of the chemistry between them. Based almost entirely on original material, it tells simple stories about love and murder, mixes rugged work songs with sweet ballads about simple matters and live studio sound with electronic tricks. And above all this fuss lingers a dreamy vision of the legendary Robert Johnson, rising from his grave and bringing vengeance to modern musicians, who didn’t respect his legacy. Is GRUFF! exposed to the wrath of he ancient bluesman? Find out for yourself!
Bartek Przytuła – vocal, harp, kazoo
Tomek Kruk – guitar Dobro

The Record Company
In the short span of 2 years, THE RECORD COMPANY (Los Angeles, CA) has gone from recording their junkiest instruments in the bass player’s living room to playing with a diverse range of music’s top acts including BB King, Buddy Guy, Charles Bradley, The Wood Brothers, Social Distortion, and Robert Randolph. This rock/roots/blues trio has been described by Time Out L.A. as if “John Lee Hooker and The Stooges had a love-child”. Sounds intriguing!
Their music has been featured in over 25 commercial, film, and television placements. Their gigs attract more and more audience and their debut record “Superhead” of 2012 gained the hearts of both the public and reviewers. At the end of 2013 the band released EP “Feels So Good”. Since then they’ve been touring throughout the US and Canada. In autumn 2015 they’ll visit Poland for the first time. Although their music is strongly rooted in tradition, their own fresh take on the music records them in the listeners’ memory at the first meeting.
