Film: Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World
Canada, 2017, 103 min.
A film about a lost chapter in the history of American popular music – the forgotten contribution of Native Americans to its development. The title of the movie comes from the Link Wray’s 1958 cult chords, that for many musicians become the milestone of rock music development. As far as everyone knows them, only few are aware that Wray was a Native American from the Shawnee tribe. Blues is not free from the influences of music of pre-colonial America. This will be discussed by Buddy Guy, Tony Bennett, Steven Van Zandt, Iggy Pop, Alvin Youngblood
Hart, Wayne Kramer, and Jackson Browne among others.
